Michael Wixson is a Registered Respiratory Therapist at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse, NY. His lifelong dream and passion is to become a physician assistant, and is simultaneously a full-time student at SUNY Cortland taking his pre-requisities for medical school. Michael earned a 4.0 grade point average in his Bachelor's Respiratory Care program at SUNY Upstate Medical University, achieving Summa Cum Laude honors and a spot on the Dean's List each semester. Michael was the representative of the RT program in Upstate Student Government and is a member of both the Middle States Committee and the Committee for Interprofessional Relations. He also earned two merit-based scholarships during his time at SUNY Upstate. Michael plans to practice in a major intensive care unit while continuing his medical education.
